Travel Through My Lumix GX85 | Video Edit
Lately I've been getting a lot of questions regarding our trusty BTS, and travel camera the Panasonic Lumix GX85. I'm putting together a longer in-depth review, and a "travel tips" guide, but I thought I'd share a quick edit from my Euro-Trip series.
This was shot exclusively with available light, in 4k (100mbps) and using only a Jobi tri-pod, like...once(worth it's weight in gold for photo). The 5-axis image stabilization is absolutely amazing, and turns hand-held walking shots into faux-steady-cam quality. With a little creativity, and paired with dual-axis stabilized lenses you can give yourself some substantial leeway with your shutter-speed for stills, and create some interesting tracking shots in video (personal favorite is the last bit in the canals in Amsterdam) For a camera that you can snag on-line for $500, the codec, stabilization, and size are tough to beat for a compact travel partner.
Look for the travel-guide, review, and additional content from my trip in Europe. Also, if you want to learn more about shooting video on your DSLR or Mirror-less camera don't forget to sign-up for our workshop in January! You'll get a full day of private instruction, and come away with the tools needed to start creating engaging video content.
